Display options

The configurator offers features that do not affect the configured roof, but only the environment / visualization.
However, these are essential for an emotional sale of your roofs!

Facade customization

In order to give the customer an impression of their circumstances as quickly as possible, the façade of the house can be can be customized. We offer the <Liste> "Fassade" [facade] feature for this purpose.
The feature supports two values with the following keys:

  • "Rauputz" [rauputz]
  • "Klinker" [klinker]

Retract shades

All shades visualized in the 3D scene and the slatted roof can be extended and retracted.
This is possible with the scene button Shading on/off.

Dimension lines​

The software always displays dimension lines as standard.
These can be activated or deactivated with the scene button Dimension lines.
These dimension lines can also be in different units (cm, mm, ...).
To control this or make it selectable, create a <Liste> "Auswahl Maßeinheiten" [multiplier] feature. The values of this characteristic are given two more attributes:

  • <Zahl> "Faktor" [value]: the conversion factor from cm to this unit selection
  • <Zahl> "Nachkommastellen" [decimal]

You can now create a new unit with (unit, conversion factor from cm, number of decimal places) by creating a selection value with Anzeige = Einheit, Faktor = Umrechnungsfaktor, Nachkommastellen = Anzahl Nachkommastellen

This unit selection is not limited to metric values. You can allow the user to display these Dimensions in inches, for example:

However, this change only applies to the dimension output, not to the input.

Watermark

You can display a watermark on the terrace under the roof. This protects you against misuse of your configurator on other websites. Proceed as follows: Optional: Switch to the "Control parameters" step, if available. Create a <Ja/Nein>"Wasserzeichen"[watermark] feature. It is set to "Yes" by default. Hide the feature and publish the configurator. Your logo or that of your dealer is displayed as a watermark on the floor under the roof.

We make it possible to change the house model.
This is possible by changing the main model in the configurator settings.

Pay attention to these things:

  • The file format of the 3D model must be .GLB.
  • The file size of the house should ideally be less than 3MB so that the loading time of your configurator is not unnecessarily negatively affected.
  • If you want to use the facade customization option, the house model must cover the facade with the named material Facade.

Camera navigation​

K3.Veranda uses the standard K3 camera navigation, with these instructions:

  • The control of the cameras for the side elements always controls the 3D scene independently depending on the selected element
  • With specially created cameras, you must always ensure that Focus via object name is set to k3d.
