How do I display my product in the configurator?

Product structure

Characteristics are properties of a product that the customer can change before buying the product. Features can be of various types. The most common are selections in which the customer chooses between different Options, e.g. the size (S, M, L, XL) or the product family or whether a safety package is booked and which one. These options are stored in the form of values.

However, there are also features that are numbers. For example, the width of a wardrobe or the height of a patio cover.

Often there is also a color selection. The K3 can also explicitly handle RAL colors.

The option to simply enter text is rarely required.

Lists of parts that the user can fill are very flexible. This means that you no longer configure just one product, but an entire product tree.

Configuration steps

To keep the configuration clear for the customer, the features can be entered in several steps one after the other.

Actions

With the help of Actions, the selected features can have an effect on product presentation and price.

For example, the product can be colored or its shape can be changed.

Or items are added to the parts list as soon as a certain combination of features is set.

Rules

Not everything can always be combined with everything.

For example, no catalytic converter should be offered if an electric motor has been selected.

You can therefore specify in K3 which options can be combined with which others.
