How do I publish the configurator?
Requirements
- You have einen Konfigurator angelegt
- You have designed the configurator to such an extent that you want to make it available to your customers.
Front end vs. administration interface
You normally work in the K3 administration interface. This is where you set up your configurator.
As soon as you have finished
Your customers can then use this frontend to configure and order your products.
Calling up the frontend
You can call up the frontend directly from the administration interface by pressing the Button
If you would like to see what your currently modified configurator looks like without publishing it, you can also hide the controls for administration using the Switch
Of course, you should now also in Ihren Shop oder Ihre Webseite einbinden the frontend.
Publication
While you are working on the configurator, for example adding new product features or new images, K3 always shows you a current preview of the configurator, just as your customers would see it would see.
However, your changes are only actually shown to the customer when you publish the configurator again. In this way, you can build or change your configurator at your leisure while your customers are still using the current version.
Versioning
Several of these publications in succession create several versions of your configurator. Now it may be that a user has saved a configuration before you have changed and republished the configurator published again. Perhaps you have added a feature, e.g. the color.
If your customer now opens the configurator with their configuration, we ask them whether they want to do this with the old or the current version current version. In the old version, they can only view the configuration, not save it. In the current version, they must first select the color and can then save it again.
You can also zurückspringen to these versions.
