One-click steps​

New one-click functionality makes it possible to complete a configuration step with just one click. This significantly speeds up configurations and improves usability for standard configurations. Administrators can define which steps are available as one-click options.

Configuration table: Save fields​

Users can now permanently save their individual column configurations in the configuration table. Sorting, column widths and visibility of the columns are automatically saved and restored on the next visit. This enables a personalized working environment for each user.

WooCommerce: Multiple configurators in one store​

The WooCommerce integration has been extended to support multiple K3 configurators in a single store. Each configurator can be configured individually and assigned to different product categories.

Analytics -> Google Tag Manager​

The K3 analytics connection is deprecated with this release. Instead, events are now sent to the surrounding page (when using the web component, the parent frame of the IFrame), which can be easily forwarded to the Google Tag Manager. This means that the GTM already present on the page/in the store can continue to be used and the K3 is much better integrated into the tracking.

Dynamic light sources​

New dynamic lighting models have been added: Point light, spot light, directional light, environment and sky. Light sources can now be placed and aligned directly in the configurator and controlled using rules or anchors. Custom HDR and EXR files can be used as ambient light and optionally displayed as a background. Visual aids are available in editing mode to make it easier to align the light sources. This also makes it easy to create a suitable night mode.

Web component​

The K3 configurator can now be used as a native web component. This allows it to be integrated directly into any page using an HTML tag - without iframe or cross-origin restrictions. This facilitates integration into existing layouts, improves SEO and reduces loading time. All known URL parameters (e.g. lang, dealer, code) can be transferred directly as HTML attributes.

Dealer bookings​

Dealer access can now be activated or deactivated directly in the backend. Instead of a manual request, access can be booked or withdrawn using a button - including a confirmation dialog. Existing licenses are billed automatically.

3D Download​

It is now possible to export the current scene as a .glb file directly in the backend via the new "Tools" menu. The exported 3D file can also be optionally attached when saving the configuration. Ideal for AR applications, customer approvals or further technical processing.

Deactivate values​

Values in the value table can now be explicitly deactivated. When creating new values, a pop-up indicates missing rule assignments, including a direct link to the affected rules. In addition, the rule overview now shows directly on each rule card whether warnings are present. The aim is a clearer, explicit workflow for the (temporary) deactivation of selection values.

Shopify App further improved​

If the products are summarized for the shopping cart, the weight can now also be calculated from the partial products.
In addition, the items can now be placed directly in the shopping cart without being summarized if the Shopify SKU is used as product identification. This was not possible before.
Finally, the Shopify app now uses current Shopify interfaces. Additional authorization must be granted for this. This is done simply by clicking once on the app itself within the Shopify store.

Improved loading display​

While the configurator is loading, the user should receive a reasonable display and not be left alone.
We have therefore ensured that if the configurator is embedded in a website with an IFrame, the surrounding website can provide an interesting display during loading.
To do this, the K3 sends certain events to the website when loading begins or ends.

New design of the rule editor​

A rule can generally consist of any number of columns. These columns can also trigger different actions.
To better emphasize this, we have completely redesigned the editor for the rule columns. You can now add, change and delete individual columns as you wish.

Reduce AR model sizes under iOS​

We were able to significantly reduce the size of model exports in augmented reality mode on iOS. The call now works much faster.

Accessibility​

We are now working on making the configurator frontend accessible.
We will continue to improve this iteratively.

Better error messages for inconsistent rules​

In K3, complex validity rules can be used to create states in which the user can no longer be offered any selection options.
In this case, we now issue an understandable error message.

• Sometimes a white scene appears when switching from an orthographic camera and back again.
